My in-laws have a capuchin monkey for a pet - or more like a member of the family, to be fair. It's a bit more civilised than one of my brothers-in-law, so they give it the free run of the house, and it could go swinging off into the jungle if it ever wanted to.
Then again, they live in Trinidad, so it's the thing's natural environment. No need for coats.
